Effective
communication saves time and money. Period.
High-scale
disciplines like Engineering provide the manufacturing world
with consistencies in communicating needs. You know many variables
exist in manufacturing, from material callouts to weld requirements.
Yet even with the greatest controls, some companies still
miss the mark. In this day and age, we all communicate without
voice in many cases, increasing the variables for outsourced
manufacturing success.
Iowa
Laser Technology believes utilizing a combination of software
language and real-world experience provides the greatest opportunity
for manufacturing consistency.
Software
Technology:
- Computer Aided
Manufacturing ( CAM )
- Virtual Gibbs (Mill)
SigmaNest
(Laser)
- Computer Aided Design (CAD)
- AutoCad
- SolidWorks
With
175 years of combined real-world manufacturing experience,
Iowa Laser's Manufacturing Engineering department is available
for development and processing
to help achieve your quality and price benchmarks.
Before
Production, We'll GPS Your Print Through The Shop
Iowa Laser has designed two process steps that allow the greatest
possibility of communicating needs and abilities pre-production,
whether you're ready to begin part development, first-article
inspection, or full production.
Shop
Tolerancing Program
Discrepancies in concept design vs. real-world manufacturing
abilities have led to print-process reviews (PPAP),
design-process reviews (DPAR) and countless other acronyms
that eventually yield quality manufacturing processes.
Using our
Shop Tolerancing program gets you several steps closer
without the conference calls. By designing your parts
using our equipment's real-world performance, you'll gain:
Simply design your parts
using our shop tolerance charts. If you have critical
dimensions that must be held, keep them on the print.
We'll discuss the options with you. Integration with
Iowa Laser is a key to continued success in U.S.
manufacturing.
Manufacturing
Engineering Review
Before
your purchase order enters our Shop for production, (2) members
of our Manufacturing Engineering group will review your project
to assure production to print specifications. This collaboration-approval
process promotes clear communication between the Customer
and Iowa Laser (Sales, Engineering and Shop personnel) in
meeting finished part requirements. If questions arise, we'll
call to discuss your needs.
We'll
Work With You To Define An Action Plan
Whether
you choose only laser cutting, or add a secondary operation
like CNC press brake forming or welding, Iowa Laser will put
your print under a magnifying glass to make sure we are on
the same page. Putting all controllable variables at the forefront
of manufacturing, Iowa Laser strives to deliver quality parts
to your hands, every time.
